Between  6th – 7th June 2024, the Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais., I.P (ANM ) and the Instituto de Geociençias de Timor Leste., I.P ( IGTL) conducted officials visit to the Pusat Pelatihan Sumberdaya Manusia Geominerba  ( PPSDM ) and Badan Geologi Indonesia ( BGI ) for Minerals, Coal and Geothermal respectively in Bandung, Indonesia.

The official meeting with the PPSDM, Geominerba was held at the head office of PPSDM Geominerba and was conducted on 6th June 2024 where these Government institutions discussed important aspects of the cooperation in the development of the capacity building pertaining to the management of the mining industry.

Following that, on 7th June 2024, the ANM and the IGTL conducted a visit to the office of the BGI. The meeting was focused on the discussion on the potential joint research on geology between the two institutions. In addition, during the meeting the BGI handed over to ANM and IGTL the geological data and information obtained from the years 1985, 1994 – 1997.

The ANM and the IGTL appreciated the good initiative of the BGI to share this important information where the geological information shared by the BGI will enrich the geological data of Timor Leste.
